This is an old house renovation project located in Chongqing, China. The homeowner once said that whenever she encountered setbacks in life, she would always return here to seek strength. Renovating the old house was her heartfelt confession to the hometown that had accompanied her for many years.

Inspired by her words, the designer came up with the idea of origami cranes. What could be more romantic than folding an origami crane in the fields of one's hometown as a declaration of love? Thus, the designer reconstructed the concrete form of origami cranes into the architectural design language, forming the architectural scheme for this project.
In the building, the living space fully extends along the south side. The transparent glass curtain wall brings the pastoral scenery into full view, achieving "natural borrowed scenery." On the north side, by making clever use of the original rocky mountain slope, a multi-layered green landscape is created. Although no paintings are hung indoors, every corner offers a picturesque view.
